Peyia village

A hillside village with narrow streets, tavernas and views along the coast.

Coral Bay is the coastal part of Peyia, while the village centre is on the slope above it. Peyia has narrow streets, stone and whitewashed buildings, a church, a central square and tavernas serving Cypriot dishes including meze.

The drive from either villa takes about five minutes and climbs steeply.

Worth knowing

  • MezeMeze is served for the table and can include 15 or 20 dishes over about two hours. It is a full meal.
  • ParkingThe village streets are narrow and steep. Look for parking before entering the centre, then continue on foot.
  • Evening journeysThe route is steep and unlit in places. If you plan to drink, take a taxi.
  • Quiet in the afternoonSome businesses close in the afternoon, so check opening times before visiting.
