The Blue Lagoon by boat
The Blue Lagoon is a sheltered inlet with clear water at the undeveloped northwest tip of Cyprus.
The Akamas is the undeveloped northwest peninsula of Cyprus. Avakas Gorge cuts into its southern edge, and Lara Bay sits on its west coast.
Boat trips leave from Latchi harbour on the north coast, travel along the peninsula and stop at the Blue Lagoon for swimming. The water looks especially clear and blue above the pale rock below.
There is also a long, rough coastal track to the lagoon. Do not mistake it for the marked Aphrodite walking trail, which is a separate circular route from the Baths of Aphrodite.
